A full training weekend in Scotland held by ADS and sponsored by OESAA
On 18th and 19th March Schaeffler attended the first Autoinform Live show in Scotland taking their knowledge of products directly to the mechanics.
Organised by ADS and supported by the Original Equipment Suppliers Aftermarket Association (OESAA). As a member Schaeffler (UK) Ltd held courses split over three groups focusing around Thermal Management, the E-ARC stabiliser, E-mobility, Timing belt and Wheel bearing fitting errors and much more.
Group one benefitted from INA/FAG training courtesy of Tim Adams, a veteran belt drive and wheel bearing system specialist with an in-depth knowledge and practical experience of the common problems in process and understanding, who explained how to avoid expensive failures and maximise customer satisfaction.
While groups two and three benefited from a course about future mobility, including thermal management, the E-ARC stabiliser and delegates took a detailed look at vehicles that will be driving into their workshops in the future.
This includes the latest advances in water pump technology – the thermal management module, as well as details of the electromechanical active roll control system being increasingly fitted to modern cars.
Throughout the weekend visitors were able to access an open workshop focusing around the award-winning INA Gearbox, as well as three live REPXPERT pods.
Fraser Anderson from Fife said; “The range of seminars on were excellent and left you feeling like the motor industry is still one of the quickest changing out there and to be included in what is happening was key for me in understanding how I can change and cope with these developments in my work life.
The location and food etc. was great and it would have been a real benefit had more guys from the company could have went”.
Autoinform is going from one strength to another with many delegates returning to each show to learn about what products manufacturers are bringing to the Automotive Aftermarket.
The next event will be held in Wolverhampton in November. Make sure you don’t miss the opportunity to see this innovative show for yourself.
