INA FEAD Belt
Belts for the front end auxiliary drive from the leading engine specialists
In recent years the front end auxiliary drive has developed into a highly complex system that has to withstand extreme stresses. To ensure the long-term preservation of the functionality of the auxiliary drive, the drive belt should be changed at regular intervals with replacement parts in OEM quality:
V-belts are rarely fitted in new vehicles today, but they continue to be of great importance in the existing vehicle fleet. They have a wedge-shaped contact surface and often have a toothed structure to realize lower wrapping radii.
In modern vehicles, Ribbed V-belts represent the latest state-of-the-art technology. They have several, wedge-shaped ribs running in a longitudinal direction, are thinner, and are designed for higher loads. This means they can be used in modern serpentine belt drives and for belt pulleys with small diameters. To drive the increasingly powerful auxiliary equipment they transfer larger forces and can withstand higher loads. For accurate installation in different vehicles they are available in a variety of widths and lengths today. Thanks to further technical developments, the Ribbed V-belt range now also includes elastic Ribbed V-belts (EPK) and double Ribbed V-belts (DPK).
