LuK Clutch Disc
The main connecting element of the clutch
The clutch disc is the main connecting element of the clutch. Together with the pressure plate, the clutch disc disconnects and reconnects the engine from the drivetrain. When doing this, the clutch disc acts as a frictional partner between the flywheel and pressure plate. Clutch facings are used to transfer engine torque and adjust engine speed to that of the transmission. A torsion damping system in the hub is used to prevent engine vibration from being transferred to the drivetrain.
As technology and market leader, LuK offers the ideal solution to exacting vehicle manufacturer specifications – from clutch discs with simple torsion damping and versions with multi-stage damping, to rigid discs for use in a DMF system and displacement-correction clutch discs.
LuK is renowned for its optimal cushion deflection, tough wear-resistant friction linings and for its highest material and manufacturing standards.
And did you know that as well as fulfilling technical requirements such as low wear rates, delivering a constant coefficient of friction and a smooth torque build up; clutch discs must also meet current environmental standards?
- Outstanding torsion damping
- Environmentally friendly friction lining
- Long service life
- OE quality
- Provides comfortable torque transmission
- Overload protection
