The camshaft phasing unit can directly influence the timing of gas-exchange valves in an internal combustion engine. It realizes early opening or late closing of the intake and exhaust valves. Optimizing camshaft phasing reduces exhaust emissions and fuel consumption. So it’s precisely camshaft phasing that is an important element today in developing downsized engines.
INA offers solenoid control valves, central magnets and adjustment units; along with a line of camshaft phasing units optimized for size requirements and low weight. These are characterized by their extremely high responsiveness.
